What is veneering?
Veneering involves gluing a thin layer of real wood (veneer) onto a stable core material to give the product the aesthetic and tactile qualities of solid wood. By using techniques such as wrapping, we can apply the veneer around complex shapes, creating a seamless and exclusive finish that highlights the wood’s natural grain and texture. Veneering is a resource-efficient and sustainable way of working with exclusive wood species, as it makes effective use of the yield from each log without compromising the visual quality or stability of the end product.
Laminated profiles
Our laminated profiles are available in many different finishes – smooth, embossed or with a synchronised surface that mimics real veneer. This allows you to achieve a beautiful surface reminiscent of wood.
What is laminating?
Laminating is a surface finishing process in which a thin paper-based foil or plastic film (usually PP or PVC) is pressed onto a profile, such as MDF or pine, using heat and high-performance adhesive systems. This method is ideal for creating durable surfaces with high colour fastness and can replicate everything from solid colours to complex wood patterns that are highly realistic. The advantage of laminating is that it gives every moulding a precisely uniform appearance, whilst the surface is easy to clean. These are important characteristics to have in public environments and retail interiors.
