Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Cornices are available in a wide range of materials, including solid wood and MDF. This makes it easy to match function, aesthetics, and budget. We also offer laminated and veneered profiles for even more variety.

We offer everything from minimalist, modern profiles to more decorative and classic designs. These include modern straight profiles, rustic, swan neck, and cornices designed for integrated lighting.

A cornice is often decorative and is used to give the room a more classic or elegant feel by marking the transition between the wall and the ceiling. A shadow moulding, on the other hand, is more minimalist and discreet. It creates a clean line and a modern look whilst concealing imperfections and joints. The choice between a cornice and a shadow moulding therefore depends on the style and feel you wish to achieve in your project.

Each project is unique, which is why we offer made-to-measure solutions and custom profiles. We handle the entire process, from needs analysis to finished product – and deliver quickly direct from our factory.

Assess the room’s style – minimalist, classic or modern design. Choose the material based on the room’s humidity. Adjust the profile dimensions to suit the ceiling height and the room’s proportions. If you’re unsure, you can always contact us.

Our range meets the needs of: building contractors and joiners, interior designers and architects, public procurement bodies, and manufacturers of, for example, kitchens and bathrooms.

For a neat finish, it is important to be meticulous when installing coving. Measure and mark carefully before cutting the coving to the correct length. Use a mitre saw to achieve precise corners, or hand-cut if the walls are not perfectly straight. The coving is fixed with nails or adhesive, depending on the material and substrate.
