Herrljunga Träindustri AB burst onto the scene in 1948, providing subcontractor services to companies in the construction, furniture, and interior design industries. Following the emergence of wrapping technology in the 1980s, the company teamed up with Göteborgs List & Trä (GLT) to become one of the leading players in wrapping in Sweden.
The modern component supplier into which the business has evolved does not have much in common with the original joinery workshop where it all began back in 1948, save but one thing: our drive to satisfy customers’ requirements for good products at the right price and of the right quality!
GLT Herrljunga’s vision is, by pursuing a pathway of profitable growth, to challenge and develop as a leading provider of profile wrapping and allied products and solutions in Europe.

Now sheathing is not just for mouldings…
We are now Scandinavia’s leading company in the field of wrapping. With proven professional expertise backed by a modern, highly automated manufacturing process, we are able to satisfy the requirements of leading producers of flooring, kitchens, caravans, furniture, doors and much, much more.
In our new unique wide wrapping line, we can foil/wrap items with widths of up to 1300mm.
We like to be problem solvers and innovators. We are constantly testing and developing new designs and material combinations, often in close collaboration with our customers. The result of all this is solutions that save both time and money.
New opportunities for architects and building designers!
Profile wrapping is a cost-effective way to achieve consistent quality and fundamentally improve the characteristics of end products. Our products are often used where there is a desire to avoid the problems associated with solid wood, whilst still maintaining that authentic wood look and feel.
For example, we can supply veneer as a finish where we have lacquered, stained, or oiled the veneer to produce a finished product without knots, fissures, or end cracks. Wrapping minimises waste and means that the material can be precisely cut. Profile coating also works well in situations where special product characteristics are required, such as fire safety and strength. We help you find better solutions to make your products a reality.
